Aqua Rimat
FlowLess is a system installed on the water supply line at the entry to homes or businesses, adjacent to the water meter. The hydraulic assembly has been developed and manufactured at ARAN. The system accurately monitors the water consumption of the home or business, and detects leaks and burst pipes in the supply line. In the event of a burst pipe, water is shut off independently by an internal diaphragm valve. The system communicates with the customer through cellular communications and a designated website, thus giving the customer control of valve position and remote management of data.
- Challenges in development:
- Detect leaks, irregular activity or bursting of pipes as opposed to normal consumption.
- Flow rate measurement more accurate by an order of magnitude compared to standard water meters.
- Develop a system that communicates powerfully, has its own energy and includes a diaphragm valve, water meter, and UFR non-return valve – all within the dimensions of a standard water meter.
