The protective cover is designed to protect the water meter from vandalism. Its uniqueness is expressed in its smart structure: the product’s enclosure is constructed from two identical shells fitted to one another, comprising the entire product. The shells are manufactured at ARAN in one mold, a method that greatly reduces manufacturing costs.
Main design challenges:
- Give the product a sturdy, robust look but also streamlined, blending into its surroundings, and integrating the product with Arad Group water meters;
- Create a smart structure that meets its pricing objective, without compromising the product’s appearance;
- Avoid compromising the functionality and convenience of water meter counter reading, and enable reading from a distance without weakening antenna transmission;
- Enable convenient access for periodic maintenance by technicians without compromising the product;
- Match materials and structure with maximum durability to tough environmental conditions and vandalism.
